1. Red Cedar Inn Museum & Visitor Center
One of the most important Route 66 landmarks in Pacific is the Red Cedar Inn Museum and Visitor Center. The building originally opened as a restaurant in the 1930s and welcomed travelers during the heyday of Route 66. Today, it serves as both a museum and visitor center, complete with a Route 66-themed gift shop.
Inside, you’ll find exhibits covering the history of Pacific, the story of Route 66 through the area, the history of the Red Cedar Inn itself, and other pieces of local history. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and offers an excellent introduction to the town.

2. Beacon Court Motel Sign
While the Beacon Court Motel itself is gone, a piece of Route 66 history remains in Pacific. The restored neon sign from the 1940s motel now stands at Beacon Car Wash. The vintage tower sign is a quick but worthwhile stop for Route 66 travelers and photographers. Neon motel signs are among the most recognizable symbols of the Mother Road, and this restored piece helps preserve a small part of Pacific’s roadside history.

3. Jensen’s Point Overlook
Jensen’s Point offers one of the best views in town and is one of the most historically significant overlooks along Missouri Route 66. Built in 1939 as a designated pull-off for both Route 66 travelers and the Henry Shaw Gardenway, the overlook provides sweeping views of Pacific and the Meramec River Valley. The stone shelter was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the mid-1930s. The CCC completed numerous projects throughout the area, including improvements connected to Route 66.
Today, Jensen’s Point remains a peaceful place to take in the scenery and imagine what travel along Route 66 looked like nearly a century ago.

4. Blackburn Park
For another excellent view of Pacific, head to Blackburn Park. While many visitors come for the overlook, the park also highlights an important chapter of local history.
A replica Civil War cannon and interpretive signs tell the story of the Battle of Pacific, which took place during the Civil War. Combined with its scenic views and historical significance, Blackburn Park is a worthwhile stop whether you’re interested in military history, local history, or simply enjoying a view of the surrounding landscape.

5. Bigfoot Headquarters
Bigfoot Headquarters isn’t specifically tied to Route 66, but it’s one of the coolest attractions in Pacific and well worth adding to your itinerary. The facility serves as the headquarters of Bigfoot, the legendary monster truck that helped launch the entire monster truck industry. Visitors can take free shop tours and learn more about the history of the iconic trucks.
Even if you don’t have time for a tour, keep an eye out around town. Several Bigfoot monster trucks are displayed throughout Pacific, making fun photo opportunities during your Route 66 road trip.

6. Campbell’s Service Route 66 Museum
Campbell’s Service Route 66 Museum is one of Pacific’s newest Route 66 attractions and a must-see for anyone interested in automotive history. The building was originally constructed as a church. After the congregation outgrew the space and relocated, the property was transformed into a Route 66 attraction. Today, it has been reimagined to resemble a late-1950s service station, complete with vintage-inspired architecture and decor.
Inside, you’ll find Route 66 memorabilia, automotive displays, and plenty of stories about the Mother Road. The museum does a great job of capturing the spirit of classic Route 66 travel and offers another fascinating look at the history that shaped Pacific and the surrounding region.
